August Burns Red HOT In January!

{mosimage}BandRescue.com recently spent some time with the guys from August Burns Red (Solid State Records ) while they were on tour with As I Lay Dying, Evergreen Terrace and Still Remains.

We first met with Josh, their tour manager, who is a machine of a task master and immediately set time to meet after the show.   Josh keeps the band on schedule and seemed as cool as an amp just out of the trailer.

The show was ridiculous.  The bands performance and energy matched that of a tazmanian devil who had been caged just a few days too long.   I was behind the band for much of the performance and witnessed an audience that resembled that of a crazed group of Southerners starved for good entertainment.  August Burns Red delivered the goods.

Troy Deezy, interviewer,  covered some of the history of the band, discussed hand holding, sight seeing on tour and life on the road in general.   Earlier in the evening, Jon, who is also an interviewer with BandRescue, received a phone call telling him that August Burns Red had just been mentioned on Extreme Home Makeover.  One of the families the show was helping had a daughter who had ABR pictures in her room and mentioned them by name.  We passed that on to the band who had also just received a phone call from a family member.   You heard it here first Extreme Home Makeover...they are ready to play a show for the family.  Somebody hook that up!

ABR is getting ready to kick off the Take Action Tour on February 14 along with Every Time I Die, From First To Last, The Bled and The Human Abstract.  This a full U.S. tour so hit up their myspace for dates.    The tour winds up on March 23 and by April the band is heading off to Europe for the first time.
