{mosimage}BandRescue.com spent the evening of May 28, 2008 in Atlanta while The Progressive Nation Tour was in town. Between The Buried & Me (Victory Records) was on the line up along with Three (Metal Blade Records), Opeth, (Roadrunner Records) and Dream Theater ( Roadrunner Records). BandRescue's own Jon & Jon show sat down with Dan Briggs, Bass and Dustie Waring, guitar, for a quick interview before their show.
The guys seemed to be comfortable and doing well on their tour bus. You will hear them talk about the tour, writing new material for a future release, being vegan and what actors would play each band member if they were on TV. My personal favorite part of the interview is where Dustie tells us what he likes best on this tour. He then points to a much older man who is in line to see the show. I appreciate that he took notice that not all older people are boring or stuffy. ;-) {mosimage}
The Progressive Nation Tour was the brainchild of Dream Theater's Mike Portnoy. It has proven to be a very successful tour and they are already planning for next year. As you will hear in the interview, the band will conclude with 2 more tours for the album Colors and then plan to take time off to write their next album.
BandRescue.com would like to thank Between The Buried & Me and Victory Records for this interview. We want to thank our own Jon & Jon show for making the "trip" and Eric Dale Photography for the killer photographs he always provides us with! We hope you enjoy it!
Part One Part Two Note: You can watch this in high quality on YouTube thanks to our camera man Jon!
