New York, NY: Four-time Grammy nominees Queensryche have signed a multi-album, worldwide deal with Roadrunner/Loud & Proud Records. The band’s label debut –their twelfth studio album overall- is tentatively scheduled for a Spring 2011 release. Singer and founder Geoff Tate remains the creative nucleus of the band, which continues to make relevant, against-the-grain hard rock that entices fans, both new and diehard.

Jerolyn – Tieria Erde Review by Kevin Spann

Putting my loyalty to a home town band aside, Jerolyn have really out done themselves on their first full length Tieria Erde. The album was recorded at the Sound Lair in Knoxville TN, a studio best known as the birth place of Whitechapel’s The Somatic Defilement. The band choose this location because of their policy of using as few editing tools as possible so everything you hear is completely done by the band: no auto tune, no drum fills, or other recording tricks. Tieria Erde is a concept album inspired by lead singer Tim’s discovery of faith in Christianity. Although Jerolyn does not consider itself a Christian band, they view the album’s theme as more of the story of one members struggle to find faith, then something they want to actively promote.

From start to finish this album will not disappoint. The band has matured immensely and they sound more technical and brutal than ever. The album begins with Leviathan, a reworked and improved version of the opening track to their previous E.P. At the halfway point the band slows things down with the title track Tieria Erde, a beautifully written instrumental track meant to symbolize the turning point for one's faith. The album reaches its heaviest at Zero, a song about the depravity of man. Finally the album culminates in Revelations which ends with the only clean vocals on the album, a reading of Revelations 21.4.

I must say, I am very impressed by this full length, this is the best the band has ever sounded. Even fans, uninterested in the album’s theme should be more then pleased. The band’s sound hasn’t softened at all, if anything it has only gotten heavier, angrier and more brutal. Everything from the screams, the growls, the breakdowns, the solos, to the drumming have improved on the heavier more deathmetal/deathcore sound they introduced on their self titled E.P. I beg anyone reading this review to check out this album. These guys are truly one of, if not, the most talented unsigned bands in Alabama.

5 out 5 The band truly exceeded my expectations.

Now check out our video interview with the band as well as live footage from their show!

We will be adding more live footage as the film gets edited.  I've known this band since their early days and they have grown into a band that Alabama can be proud of!  (Vicki-BandRescue.com)

New York, NY: KORN will perform for the first time on Lopez Tonight on August 24. The show, hosted by comedian George Lopez, airs at 11 PM ET on TBS. The band will perform their brand new single, “Let the Guilt Go.” This is the second single off Korn’s latest album, Korn III -  Remember Who You Are, which entered the charts at # 2 on July 20 and is in stores now.

Korn will be joined onstage for the performance by the latest addition to their touring band, guitarist Wes Geer (formerly of the So Cal band Hed Pe).

The band recently wrapped up the summer’s most successful rock tour in the U.S. as the closing headline act for the third annual Rock Star Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. The 30 city tour of major U.S. markets averaged 15,000 attendees per show and was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise tough concert season.

Korn will head to Europe following their latest late night TV appearance to further enact global domination.

A Plea For Purging has been touring for over a month now on the release of their sophomore effort with Facedown Records.  "The Marriage of Heaven & Hell" is definitely their best album to date.  "Shiver" was chosen as their music video.  Check out the video below!
